Message from the Executive Director
Over the past few weeks, I have had the pleasure of meeting many of the wonderful clients, family members, staff, volunteers and board members who make up the BCABVI community. I feel very fortunate to be a part of the Association and sincerely thank you all for your warm welcome!
My professional background includes the development of programs and services that positively impact the lives of individuals with disabilities, including those with visual impairments. I am confident that my experience in this area will be beneficial to BCABVI and look forward to partnering with you to build upon our existing quality services and explore new opportunities together.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions, input or ideas. With your help and support, I am confident BCABVI will continue to grow and make a difference for people with visual impairments in Bucks County.
Best Wishes!
Anne Marie Spinden, Executive Director

On Thursday July 31, 2008 BCABVI is sponsoring a Low Vision Aides Day at our Newtown facility. This is an opportunity to learn about basic magnification devices and technology that may be available through BCABVI.
Space is limited, so if you have an interest in attending please call Paula or Linda at 1-800-472-8775.
Music Appreciation
On June 6, 2008, the Senior Citizen Keyboarders of Lower Makefield entertained us with a medley of songs and music including “ Singing in the Rain” and “Jeepers Creepers”. Everyone greatly enjoyed the performance and we can’t wait for their next visit!
We would like to thank Mary Lin Hankins and all the group’s members for volunteering their time and talents as part of our Music Appreciation Program.
Music Appreciation meets on the first Friday of every month thanks to the hard work of Catherine Lyden. Thank you Catherine for bringing music into our day!
