Monday to Thursday 10:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M.
Friday 10:00 A.M.-8:00 P.M.
Saturday 10:00 A.M.-4:00 P.M.

The BCABVI Thrift Shop is located in our facility in Newtown. We carry children's clothing and much more: small household appliances, collectibles, jewelry, books, linens, purses, shoes, and an excellent selection of women's and men's clothing from sportswear to business and evening wear for women. Our prices can't be beat!

It's sometimes hard to part with those things in your life that no longer serve you but your donation can benefit others, and you put your former possessions to very good use. 100% of all proceeds from the shop benefit the programs and services of the Bucks County Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

How to Donate

Donations can be dropped off Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We ask that all donated items be clean and in good repair. Clothing should be folded and transported in bags (no hangers or pins please!) and all other items will be accepted in boxes or bags as appropriate.

ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE. If the value of your donation exceeds $250, the IRS requires that you provide an itemized list of your donations. We do not assign a value to your donation or assess its condition- that is your privilege as the donor. Please note: We are unable to issue a tax receipt for items left after business hours.

What to Donate

Donations are the heart and soul of our store, so we thank you for your continual support.

We greatly appreciate donations of:

  • Small, working electronics and appliances (radios, CD players, DVD players)
  • Clothing (men's, women's, juniors and children)
  • Accessories (jewelry, purses, shoes)
  • Collectibles
  • Household items

While we recognize the value of all donations, there certain items we cannot accept.

  • baby items such as car seats, play pens, high chairs, etc. (We cannot resell these items because we have no way of knowing if an individual item has been recalled by the manufacturer)
  • large electronics such as televisions, computers, monitors, keyboards
  • furniture
  • encyclopedia sets, text books

When considering an item for donation, ask yourself "Would I give this item to a friend?" If so, we look forward to seeing you at the shop!

Sales and Special Events

Every Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm all clothing is ½ price! (Does not include accessories or any other item in the store)

Semi Annual Sales occur in February and August each year. We sell everything at discounted prices to clear the store and prepare for the new inventory for the season.
