WE EDUCATE PEOPLE

Student Assembly

Student Assemblies are designed to generate awareness about vision loss.  During presentations children are given the opportunity to wear vision simulators to create empathy and understand what it means to have a visual impairment.  Student Assemblies are educational and customized to the curriculum, age, and size of the audience.  If there is a specific topic desired that is not listed below we will try to accommodate your request.

Presentation Topics:
  • Overview of Eye Diseases
  • Vision Simulators
  • Best Practices When Encountering People with Vision Loss
  • Personal Stories of Adjustment
  • Overview of Assistive Devices & Technology
