"I was born with congenital cataracts so from a young age I was faced with challenges to overcome.  I became a very independent and self-confident person which allowed me to become a business owner. When I retired, I was looking for a way to use my skills to help other people.  I have several roles at BCABVI. I am a client who supports my peers during groups. I am a volunteer who teaches screen reader programs like ZoomText and JAWS in the community. I am also a member of the Board of Directors and help govern the organization.  BCABVI has given me the chance to meet wonderful people and offers me opportunities I never thought I'd have."
