Bucks County Intermediate
Unit
The Bucks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) is a K-12 education service agency that supports the needs of students, their families, and school districts throughout Bucks County, PA.
BCIU offers a wide variety of programs for children from birth to adulthood, including Early Head Start, Pre-K Counts, Counseling, Early Intervention Screening, Physical Therapy, Speech and Language Services, and much more.
BCABVI partners with BCIU. The goal of BCABVI’s preschool screening program is to identify and access treatment for undiagnosed vision problems in young children. Working together with BCIU, we are able to reach a more diverse population of students from across Bucks County.
Our joint efforts resulted in a great percentage of participating preschoolers at BCIU-sponsored sites being referred for a follow-up visit with an eye care professional.
For more information about the array of programs BCIU offers, please visit their website at https://www.bucksiu.org.
